This water type fire extinguisher with F-500 EA encapsulation agent has been tested on lithium-ion battery fire possessing a 2.4KwhH capacity.
This fire extinguisher is manufactured and tested to Australian / New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 1841.2 and tested as per the requirement of AS1850 for Class A fires (Flammable solids) which is for a Water type fire extinguisher on a Paper/Fabric/Wood/Plastic type fire.
Currently there is no Australian/New Zealand standard for Lithium-Ion Battery fires. This Quell extinguisher (model 140026) complies with the mandatory Australian Standard AS/NZS1841.2 - 2007 as water - type fire extinguishers (Class A)
The scope of Global - Mark certification does not include Lithium - ion batteries.
