Site Assesment and Quotation for Annual Servicing of Fire Extinguishers

All fire extinguishers that are installed into businesses in New Zealand are required to have an annual compliance check and service in accordance with NZ Standard 4503:2005 to make sure they are Compliant. They must be the correct type of extinguisher to fight the most likely fire class types that are present in the building. They must also be in the correct locations and have the correct distrubition / coverage to meet the requirements of the standard. They also need to be within 5 years of their last pressure test date on the extinguisher. 

If you have extinguishers that are already installed then they are required to be tested and certified to keep them compliant every 12 months. 

We can check the condition of the extinguisher to make sure the pressure, maintenance, weight and anti-tamper tags are compliant and correct. 

Extinguishers are then numbered and a Fire Register Report is issued for your Company Records as Required by the Standard.

If you have extinguishers that have previously been certified then it should be possible to certify them again as long as the standard was previously being met. Any replacement extinguishers will need to be installed on existing brackets and have the correct Blazon signage installed for the type of extinguisher.

As part of our first site visit we carry out an Obligation Free Assesment of your site to work out your fire class and hazard risk levels. We measure your building and work out correct distribuition of extinguishers that are required to meet the standard. If they are already correct then we can proceed to certify your extinguishers / building. If they have not been previously done or are not compliant to the standard we can let you know what is required to get your building up to NZS4503:2005 and give you a quotation.

• 6 - 14  $17 per Extinguisher Certified
• 15 - 29 $16 per Extinguisher Certified
• 30 or more $15 per Extinguisher Certified
• Supply Fire Register Report $20
• Travel / Site Set-up $85
